Placid C Rego was Managing Director & Partner of Wonder Chain Trading LLC for nearly 25 years until late 2022. He began his career as a hospitality trainee with the Taj group of hotels in Mumbai and then proceeded to work for 4 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He then moved to Sultanate of Oman and was part of a newly formed partnership foodstuff company, later it developed into one of the leading Foodstuff companies in Oman.
Based on his expertise was offered to operate & develop the Dubai operations of Al Hammadi foodstuff trading for 10 years managing a spend across food and non-food of nearly AED 20 million. He is an expert in the purchasing of food, beverages, and non-food disposables. Placid has a wealth of knowledge in reducing cost bases & consolidating supply chains across the Middle East & GCC countries, as well as maximizing turnover & profit growth of food items.
